To figure out how much mulch you need, you first need to find the square footage of the area you want to cover. To do this, multiply the length of the space by the width. Once you have the square footage, you can use a mulch calculator to determine how many cubic yards you need based on your desired depth. A typical depth is 2-3 inches.

Yes, all of our natural and dyed mulches are totally safe around pets and kids. Our natural mulches are just that, naturally consisting of tree material. This same mulch is used to make our dyed mulches. The colorant used to produce our dyed mulches has undergone the same safety studies used in the cosmetic industry and are rated in the lowest levels of toxicity. This means the dye is less toxic than table salt.

Colored mulch typically lasts for a full season, which is about a year, before it starts to fade. The colorant lifespan depends on factors such as sun exposure and rainfall. Natural Mulches, like our Double Ground and Triple Ground typically last one to two years before needing to be refreshed. Finer mulches like our Triple Ground, Leaf Mulch, and Premium Bark Mulch will decompose at a quicker rate back into the soil and will need to be refreshed more frequently than a courser Double Ground Mulch.
Delivery must take place on a hard paved surface typically a driveway. Due to the size and weight of our trucks we cannot drive them off the road and into areas like your backyard.
